Corona Virus Update
In light of the Governments' advice on
unnecessary meetings for people, and to protect people over
70 years of age and those with underlying health conditions,
we have decided to halt all training sessions for the
foreseeable future.
This will be monitored on a regular
basis and should circumstances change, a new training
schedule will be posted on the website - so do keep checking
in!
We hope you all stay safe, keep
supporting one another and, of course, look out for those
most vulnerable.

What is Reiki Healing?
|
A
healing session is very simply performed. After an initial
consultation, the customer lies fully clothed on a couch.
Reiki energy is then channelled into them by the therapist via a
series of hand positions from the head down the body.
Each position is just a light resting of the hands - no
massage or manipulation.
Often
during a treatment heat may be experienced from the therapist's
hands.
The
flow of energy can be felt in various ways. Often it is experienced
as a lovely heat, which reaches deep inside the body. Sometimes it
may feel cold or you may experience tingles, usually where a
blockage is being cleared.
People
may also find Reiki is like a deep meditation and pick up on colours,
gain deeper understanding of your life or problem, get memories,
visions or past life recall. Sometimes there is spontaneous
emotional release from areas that have been blocked off.
Some
people don't feel any physical sensation at all but describe mental
or emotional changes such as a sense of calmness or peace. Nearly
everyone experiences a treatment as deeply relaxing.
Since
Reiki creates balance on a mental, physical, spiritual and emotional
level it is useful in all situations, either on its own or in
conjunction with Western medical practice or other complementary
treatment.
Used
regularly by individuals it can help recharge, align and rebalance
energy in the body.
For
minor problems or short term goals one or two sessions may be
enough. For significant problems the best results are achieved by
three to four sessions three to four days running then weekly
sessions spreading out to fortnightly and monthly as the condition
improves.

What
is Indian Head Massage?
The art of Indian Head Massage is an Ayurvedic
form of healing and relaxation used widely in Asia, mainly by masseurs
and hairdressers, to combat daily tension and stress. This form of
massage is now one of the most popular therapies available at the
moment.
The Malish technique addresses the back, neck,
scalp and face using a variety of massage pressures and techniques and
is one of the most relaxing types of massages you will ever
experience. A typical treatment normally lasts 45 minutes.
Why would you have an Indian Head
Massage?
Ideal for any neck or shoulder
tension, the massage starts on the back and neck working deeply over the
muscles and pressure points that help the muscles to relax.
Moving on to the scalp, massage
techniques are used which relax, stimulate and revive this area.
The whole scalp is covered to encourage circulation, oxygen and
nutrients to the area. The effect of this is to help stimulate
hair growth and revitalize the
brain.
Finally, the treatment finishes with
a wonderful soothing face massage, which includes pressure points and
draining techniques that may help headaches and sinus problems.
The massage does not require removal
of clothing - wear comfortable clothing and a thin top (such as a
t-shirt or shirt, etc).

What is Hopi Ear
Candling?
Thermal Auricular Therapy (also known as Hopi Ear
Candles) is a pleasant and non-invasive treatment of the ears, used to
treat a variety of conditions.
The ear candles induce a revitalising heat upon the
head and ears, which soothes, relieves and relaxes.
Hopi Ear Candles can help with:
Tinitus,
compacted ear wax and glue ear
Sore throats and hay fever
Headache and migraine
Rhinitis and sinusitis and
Catarrh and asthma
Stimulation of blood and energy flow
Regulation of pressure in ears and head
Relaxation in conditions of anxiety and stress
Stimulation of lymphatic system and metabolism
During a treatment, an initial
consultation is given to ensure the treatment is right for the
patient. They are then asked to lie on their side on a therapy bed
where the practitioner gently inserts a candle in the first ear and then
the other. The treatment is then finished with a lovely ear and
facial massage. A typical treatment usually lasts
1 hour.
